Good example of how impressive modern ejector seats are especially how quickly they are sitting right way up under a canopy given the angle at which they punched out

Four more Martin-Baker ties in the post.

The ACES II (not fitted to the Super Hornets in this incident but fairly standard fitment across other similar a/c) will allow safe ejection from a fully inverted attitude at only 150ft. It is astounding how quickly they function.

Martin Baker are probably the only one who will come out of this with any credit.

The video is bizarre.

It's how they procure T-45s

Well, I'd heard it was a video of two Growlers coming together.

Wasn't the video I had in mind...

But you've seen two growlers grinding against each other? (can't believe the thread got this far without a growler gag).

I wonder what actually locked them togther post contact? Some physical hook up, or was it aerodynamic forces?

To me it looks like the No.2 dropped onto the top of the No.1 in such a way that the fuselage of No.2 got trapped into the 'V' of the two vertical stabs of No.1, and that's what locked them together as such.......?
