I always felt a little for military American guys who did similar dives as their job in the 50s and 60s, some of their stories are remarkable!

However, when you see the actual jump he did, and how small the earth looks, man,

He was doing stunt flying in the Red Bull MBB Bo105 at Ragley Hall airshow a few weeks ago. A man of many talents.

A totally unfitting end for a bloke with such massive balls. Jumped from space in one of the coolest spectacles of the century so far...….dies falling into a swimming pool. I'd imagine his character would have seen the funny side of the manner of his exit, but really far, far too young.

Some news reports are suggesting he had some kind of "medical event" and was already dead before he hit the ground. Certainly a more fitting end than thinking he lost control of a paraglider after some of the other things he'd done.

Much better publicity machine than Alan Eustace though.

The jump from the edge of space was just epic.

That was almost 13 years ago and it’s still fresh in my memory today.

He looked fit as a fiddle so rather strange that he had a (suspected) heart attack but at least he had it doing something he loved.

RIP you crazy man and thanks for the memories.

My resting heart rate last year was 39bpm no meds ar all.

Yet I had blood clots that suddenly migrated. I was stood in woods alone gasping for air for 30seconds. Then they suddenly moved.

6 months of meds cleared it up.

Young colleague at work went into two cardiac arrests with the same.

That’s why I said ‘looked’. You really can never tell.
