Sorry, another "what's this boat" question however I saw this doing what appeared to be some fast testing in Cobh harbour, near Cork, last week. It was in the distance and couldn't get a better photo than these, which are heavily cropped.

It looked very nice!

That looks to be it, although it looks more impressive in red!

Holiday mode meant I'd forgotten about reverse image search ... banghead

Dare one ask how much fuel such a journey would involve?

I think there is only one and they changed the hull colour with a wrap
There is a Facebook page with more pictures and video

They have a video of it in red as well.

They are often found going out in very bad weather to test them.

Thanks for the link, it looks like they were maybe doing some more videos of her in her new colour on the day I saw her.

It seems they also build pilot boats too and it's this one I saw running along side it

I've always fancied a converted pilot boat if I won the lottery, although I suspect that would be a very silly idea! biggrin

The video I posted above is likely what you suggest.

Safehaven have a well deserved reputation for building exceptionally tough and capable boats that laugh in the face of severe storms.

Finally had a chance to watch the videos - that really is a very capable bit of kit. The video of her going out past Roches Point in Storm Kathleen is mental!

I see they have fitted her with a hydrofoil. Thats unusual and pretty novel on a catamaran.
Definiterly seems to be working though.

Now that is proper cool, especially with the viewing window in the floor.

50kts on the water is really quick. Having winched to boats in my previous life, anything moving at that speed over the water would be very impressive.
