Is anyone going to Farnborough Airshow? I’m going for the first time since 2018 when I went on a Saturday and before that I went in 2016 when I went on a Friday. Has anyone had their tickets arrive yet? Mine haven’t and I’m wondering if it’s just my tickets that haven’t arrived yet or if the organisers haven’t sent them yet.

Live very close by.. (planes used turn over our house when doing displays) the airshow flying schedule looks frankly uninspired compared to previous years with Typhoons, vulcan, F18s, F35s etc...

You need to filter on day
As far as I can see, for Friday there is
F15EQ
Danish F16s
Spitfire
A few aero trams, Pitt Special etc.
Plus airliners etc

Mon-Thur have a smaller flying display

Friday schedule is marginally better than other days, but I'd check the schedule before buying tickets to make sure you are happy...

For flying displays, RIAT is more promising

Ok, so the last two days have been slightly more intersting with a few F35 flypasts and multiple F15 displays.

Still a far cry from previous displays though. Shame

The show has not been the same since the 80's. I used to live nearby and remember well Concord's debut flight in 1970. Stood in the back garden with my Dad as a 6 year old, Concord passed right over us, so.low, almost like you could reach up.and touch it. The displays back.then we're something to see.

I live in Farnborough and used to take a few days off work to watch the display from the perimeter and then go to the show proper. I didn't bother in 2022 and won't this year either. I've watched the F-16 and F-15 displays from my garden - which was quite nice.

This just popped up on my YouTube feed and I'm glad it did or I would have missed it - a really impressive short landing in an ATR-72 :

I saw a bit of the B52 whilst I was in the queue for a pizza. That was one aircraft that I wanted to see the most and yet I only saw a glimpse of it.
