Wow.

I’m surprised it’s not been mentioned earlier. I guess a few of the aviation aficionados on here follow Juan.

That’s not a minor scrape, it’s a serious drag over a long distance. It’s got to have breached the outer skin and more. Much more.

My guess is a sheet of aluminium and a few rivets won’t get that aircraft back in the air soon.

Yarp. I suspect that may be a career limiting event, quite an over-rotation and a long stay in the repair shed.

Flew back to Sao Paolo on Sunday @40000ft so can't have been too badly damaged in the end.

It does have a tail skid assembly so may have just chewed through that.

I’m pretty sure that won’t T cut out.

There is nowhere to hide these days really is there?

I think one or two of that crew is🤗 looking at the equivalent of a P45.

It’s not even a light scrape, that aircraft was forcibly dragged literally into the air.

Jesus Christ, that looked like the minimum unstick test that the manufacturer performs when certifying the aircraft.

I'm guessing a mass and balance and/or performance error, Vr clearly initiated way too soon, but that is outstandingly poor form.

Looks like around 7s / 400m of drag there. That'll be a mess...

Less of a Tail Strike, more of a "let's take the tail off" eek
