Help tao ID aircraft fastener.

Hi,
I'm looking for help in trying to ID the below aircraft parts / fasteners of which I have quite a few.
They are ex RAF stock.
The engraved numbers on the underside of the catch are not clear.
The top face of the catch is approx 2" and 1" wide.
If anybody has a photo or diagram with them in use (to see how they were mounted) it would be really appreciated.

They’ll be described as something like panel release thumb latches. Other than that, I can’t help you.

I'd agree they are thumb catch for an access panel. I don't recognise them from anything I've worked on or been up close to.

They look like the fasteners to the Nimrod R1 spares rack (located behind rack 14) and the spare headsets stowage area.


I imagine they are used elsewhere in the RAF though. They look like a pretty universal fastener.

It seems like they were used on various aircraft in the 50s and 60s, plus Aston Martins, but are in very short supply now. Aircraft push button latch
