So youre saying spending time with your son and making lifetime memories isnt worth £36 wink

F1 Silverstone on Friday is circa £100 per person so pays your money....

Definitely.

My Dad, taking me to Farnborough and Biggin Hill as a kid, was the seed to a life of aeronautical enjoyment

£36 is only a good pub lunch these days, and people pay that happily enough... all over in two hours and you get fat too.

At least you won't have the quandary from the old days, "Do I look round the tents and risk missing the best of the flying?"

If you can go, do. Get photos of your son near as many of the static aircraft as possible, and if they will let him sit in any of the cockpits, encourage him to do so. My son got to sit in a MiG-29, then didn't want to get out of it. On one of the stands they had the cockpit and gun from an Apache helicopter. They were letting visitors try the eye detector which pointed the gun wherever you looked. You won't know until years afterwards which exhibits make the greatest impact on your son, so just go and encourage him to get closeup with everything there.

My daughter had to go to the Waddington Air show every year for her birthday, as I had to work at it. This is her now flying through the Mach Loop.
