Anyone going tomorrow or Sunday?

Despite the cancellations (and the will-she/won't-she with the A26) it looks like a good line-up.

Was going to PPR a slot to fly in, but have a weekend of jobs and children's activities. Line up does look good!

Same. Been a while since I've seen a warbird line-up this good.

Weather looks a bit cloudier than it did a week ago, but it's going to be dry and the ceiling should be high, which is the main thing.

I’ve been watching the practice displays this afternoon, very good so far.

Just watched the 727 pass low over our house en route.

Also watched the F35, P51 and P47 heading to Sywell at 1.00pm.

Went today , great flying show , sunnier than expected so quite sun burnt.
Not a lot of stalls in the market place but plenty of food choice. 9 Spitfires at the end was excellent.
Pic’s to follow.

I'll echo all of that. Displays were in the main very good, and not ridiculously far away from the crowd line.

Noodles were nice but ridiclously pricey for what you got.

I've also decided I despise Bonhomme with every ounce of my being - no one should be that bloody talented and lucky... wink

despite all the power on show, We really enjoyed the Fokker DR1 triplane display , it just seemed to float around.

Great show! Definitely one for next year if they decide to put it on again. My highlights were the Electra, the 9 Spits tail chasing and Mélanie Astels in the Extra… Danielle the Wing Walker is absolutely insane too hehe

Just back from day-2. Photos will have to wait until I get a new HDD delivered though... hehe

...and overall I thought the lineup and display was cracking. Great variety, good quantity, spectating felt a lot easier than Duxford and photography 10x so. Flight line walk was nicely done too. Commentary wasn't bad either. Not perfect, but the host got some experts in to assist and did a creditable job.

Highlights - The Extra 300 display, Bonhomme in the Fury, and the Fokkers. 9 Spits was a really nice conclusion to the main display both days, albeit I felt they could have pushed the envelope a little more on the solo / twin part of that display.

Portaloos were a little too portaloo-ish (vs the cabins you get at bigger / more established events), but there were plenty of them (vs Midlands Air Festival where there were 2 banks on opposite sides with permanently big queues). Food was...OK, typical festival-fare, typical festival prices (£12 for a small bowl of noodles with 5 nuggets on top IS taking the piss a bit though). Nice to get access to their small museum too.

Really hope it's back next year.

Looks like it could be a good alternative to a show at Old Warden.

Just watched the Red Bull planes flying overhead (B25, Mustang, Corsair and P38) on their way out. Also B17 and accompanying Spitfire yesterday evening.

Saw both of those fly right over my house on Sunday. Sally B and the Spit first then the Red Bull flight - sounded amazing (St Neots Cambs)
Never seen a P38 in the air before so even that short fly over was amazing to me

We went both days and the Flying Bulls were the pick of the bunch for me.

This was filmed from our camp site on the Friday practice. Yes the trees are in the way but it adds to their last flyover biggrin
