Couple of unofficial posts on Twitter saying pilot OK, but you'd have thought if that were the case it would have been announced via offical channels as quickly as possible. Incident was reported at 13:20 so plenty of time to report a positive outcome by now. Fingers crossed!
Helimed was requested and left Coningsby a while ago. Might be they don’t want to release an official statement until he/she has reached hospital MitchT said:

Seems to be conflicting posts. But the emergency services are on the public road B1192 at the end of the runway.Sadly earlier this afternoon, Saturday 25th May 2024, Spitfire Mk. IX, Serial No. MK356 from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby crashed close to its base and reports are still sketchy.
Are thoughts go out to the pilot and we are just hoping and praying that he is okay.
We know nothing more at this time.
Spitfire Mk. IX, Serial No. MK356 is of course the former Gate Guardian Spitfire from RAF Hawkinge and was stationed here from 1945 to December 1961 when the airfield closed.
One of our replica Spitfires, which can be seen on the Queen Mary Trailer in the Museum Car Park at the Kent Battle of Britain Museum Trust (www.kbobm.org) at Hawkinge, depicts this very Spitfire and the colours she carried when she took part in D-Day.
As we hear any further confirmed news, we will let everyone know...

I was at the lincs aviation heritage centre waiting a display from the bbmf spitfire and hurricane which didn’t happen. I didn’t hear the announcement but presumably this is why.
Thoughts, obviously immediately go to the pilot, friends, pilots and colleagues. We’re all hoping for a positive outcome.
I suppose it goes to show that operating these historic warbirds is always dangerous.

That no-show and the crash location imply that the incident happened on take off, then? Pic looks bad- thoughts for the pilot... Thoughts, obviously immediately go to the pilot, friends, pilots and colleagues. We’re all hoping for a positive outcome.

They are usually very quick to state if the injuries are non-lufe threatening, however with BBMF things might be handled differently?
They were pretty quick when Al Martin made the wheels up landing at Wittering in LF363 after engine failure en-route to Channel Islands, as only a broken ankle and some minor burns as I recall, so lack of announcement by now is worrying.BBMF have never lost a pilot/crew member in the 65+ years of BBMF ops, so lets hope that outstanding record continues.
