The latest stats are out. 20 % increase in journeys, income etc https://dataportal.orr.gov.uk/statistics/usage/pas...




Looking at the graph usage is getting back to pre-covid levels and when "no one" is commuting!

Day-by-day breakdown and the breakdown of what was Intercity/Network SouthEast/Regional would be interesting. At a guess, weekdays quieter, especially in the South East, but Saturday and especially Sunday up dramatically. Alternatively, lots of cheap fares & far fewer top price season tickets.

The release includes many of the details who ask about.

So change in usage by company include Elizabeth line up 40%, Avanti up 38% partly due to a poor timetable the previous year, The smallest increase was C2C and LNER at 6%. GTR, Southeastern, Southwestern 13%, 14% and 15% respectively.

London and South East sector up by 19% long distance by 21%, regional 22%.

7% increase in season ticket journeys and they comprise 14% of all journeys
