Hi

Anyone know if there are any 2 or 3 berth boats that can be towed (legallyish) behind a car, idealy something fairly sporty?

Looking at potentially upgrading my 6.5 metre bowrider for something with more space, but I like being able to take the boat where I fancy rather than stuck in 1 marina.

Could be an impossible ask and the only solution is to have multiple boats #manmaths.

As an example something like a Jeanneau Leader 805 is just over 2 tonnes dry + trailer should be OK within 3.5tonne limit. It's still a damn big thing to tow around but still is a 4 berth with heads, galley and decent performance. I'm sure more modern boats are available that tick the boxes, just giving an example.

Pretty much any 24ft sports cruiser would be ok.

26 ft and up and you'll start to get width issues as well as length.
