Cosford airshow

When I was a kid my Dad used to take me to watch Cosford airshow and we would park up on the surrounding roads and watch the planes (We did pay to go in one year but I was too young to remember!).

I no longer live in the area but I'm tempted to go mountain biking around Cannock chase on the Saturday before and stop off at Cosford on Sunday on my way home. As I'll have my mountain bike with me I was thinking of parking up somewhere and riding near to the camp to watch the planes, I'm not really interested in the events going on in the camp.

Is this still possible or have things changed since I last went? (approximately 30+ years ago!)
