This looks pretty nasty, BBC article speculates it may have hit another plane on the ground.
Think it's an A350.

A source I've seen suggests it's an A350 and it hit a smaller aircraft on approach.

Reuters suggesting a Coast Guard plane?

Really hoping people got off that before it turned into a cabin fire.

This looks like they're allowing it to burn, I can't see any fire trucks. Seems unusual?

Looks like a 350 to me, there also appears to be a dent in the engine cowling.

Watching it earlier, there were fire crews there, loads of foam etc, I guess it just took hold to quickly to contain it.

If you scroll the above posted video to the local timestamp of 17:47 you'll see the glow of the impact as the flight is departing/landing. It'll be surprising if we don't see mutliple casualties from this. Got to be a ATC mess up.

Edit : so glad everyone got off, that has to be a miracle in itself.

Seem to have a lack of firefighting crew and tenders

At 18:10 to 18:14 the truck with its high power pump only did one squirt, it’s too far away, and they left one poor sod there bringing a knife to a gun fight! Pic below. After this the big truck briefly dowses the plane, but still alight in the windows. Then one poor guy continues

Been watching the live footage for a while, the fire crews seem not to know how to act.
Not a lot of foam retardant coming from the tenders, how much dothey carry?

I don’t think they stand much chance of putting that out.

Do you think they've decided to let it burn out and save the foam in case there's another incident where rapid fire extinguishing is a matter of life and death? Othwerwise it seems odd not to be getting that fire put out.

If you scroll back the footage to the start of the incident, it looks like they used all their foam at the start and had no option but to let it burn
