Not great.
There is so much work now required by engineering on that aircraft.
11 years old. End of the road maybe? There is so much work now required by engineering on that aircraft.
Think it will be out of action for a few months but should fly again as I cant see anything too serious.
If you look at the approach they were doing a heck of a lot including 2 orbits on the airport.
It was their first attempt too.
ADSB data shows them at 141kts over the threshold. (touch fast maybe?)
94kts with 2/3 of the runway used. (floated?)
Departed the runway at c.60kts just beyond the turn off (maybe tried to make the taxi at too high of a speed?)
c.350m of paved surface remaining when they came to a stop on the grass.

How long will it take to move it do you think. Very selfishly interested as I’m fly out of of LBA on Monday
No idea, but it can't be a fun job in this weather. They will need to unload it and probably get some air bags under it assuming the landing gear is intact so that it can be pulled out. 48k said:

So they steered off the side rather than ran off the end?As is always the way, there’s more informed discussion here.

So they steered off the side rather than ran off the end?Delta taxiway is not a high speed exit. Echo at the other end is, afaik. Possible after the 2 orbits the pilot lost his bearings and thought they were landing on 32 rather than 14? Thought no problem we are a bit hot but will slow down on the taxiway and then found a 130 degree turn ahead?
IANAP!
