Always wanted to get a PPI, but circumstances always buggered up the plans. Now two MCI, a quad by pass a TKR and being slightly red/green colour blind i think that i may have come to the end of my dream

Was t an airfield the other day and popped in to one of the schools there to as what a 'taster' flight would entail
Pleasantly surprised that it is nearly a full hour airborne and i would getto taxi and take off...Now the dreamm is on for an hour

However it got me thinking. If i had 16k spare could i do the whole PPI without the medical even to a FI being in the jump seat for the solo parts just to say that if i was fully fit i could get a PPI A sort of 45 tasters flights but with the exams?

No reason why you couldn't pay for 45 hours of instruction, and complete the dual elements of the course if that's what you want.

However, if you are willing to spend that much money it is probably worth booking a class 2 medical anyway and find out if you are eligible. There may be some restrictions placed, and the LAPL or even Microlight licences have more lenient requirements.
