Fast Jet Very Low Over West Lancashire??
Discussion
At around 12:45 today i could here what sounded like a Fast Jet approaching very quickly (not a common sight around the skies of West Lancs).
Glanced over my shoulder from my desk & am sure i saw it disappear out of view, which from where i'm sat meant it was very low & given the noise, it certainly indicated it was low.
Appeared to be flying parallel to the M6 Southbound, over Charnock Richard & towards J27.
Anybody any idea what it was & what it was up to? Have lived here 20yrs & never seen/heard such a thing, other that jets flying over that may be displaying at Blackpool or Southport Airshows.

BAE have several facilities locally, could it be one from there?
I've seen several low flying Typhoons in recent months - based around Preston / Chorley area.

Agreed as Warton is only about 20miles away, however they usually fly out over the Wyre estuary & then up to the Lake District, never seen one low level tracking the M6 Southbound. Have sometimes heard them slightly further North of me in West Lancs, but never heading South.I've seen several low flying Typhoons in recent months - based around Preston / Chorley area.
