Interesting UAV
Discussion
Certainly a fairly novel approach to get the benefits of vertical takeoff and landing, without the in-cruise drag of four upward facing motors and propellers that others use.
The centre section fold mechanism must be pretty weighty, but the weight and drag of a wheeled undercarriage is avoided,
There must be some mileage in a very basic multirotor which could lift, launch and recover a fixed wing UAV, so the latter is optimised for the cruise portion with no compromises for the take off and landing.
