I live in Wilmslow, which is a couple of miles southeast of Manchester Airport. About 5-10 minutes ago, I heard something flying very low, and very loud. It seemed to come from the west, but I could not see it as it went over. I ran to the back bedroom that my OH has as her office, and she said it had gone behind some trees. I only caught a brief glimpse as it emerged, and all I could establish was it had two engines.

It went back the same way but I lost sight of it. I looked on Flightradar, and nothing was showing in the area other than the usual passenger airlines.

My OH said it had stripes on it, which sound like invasion stripes from her description.
