Our local MPs favourite photoshoot location looks like it’s in trouble, it’s just be awarded £470k “to avoid the risk of insolvency”…

Aerospace Bristol is set to receive £470,000 in a council bailout after a report showed the museum was struggling to make money.

The pandemic, cost-of-living crisis and increased inflation has resulted in less income, rising bills and fewer school trips to the Filton site.

The money from South Gloucestershire Council will be provided in part by central government funds.

They're just writing off some of the debt from the loan they gave them at base +4%. I didn't know Councils lent money, still less on a profit-making basis.

That's a shame, I really enjoyed taking my two son's on a visit there and seeing Concorde. I thought they had done a great job of presenting it.

Hopefully they can survive.
