On another forum I frequent, someone has posted the pics below. The pics were taken at a ski station near Nice. Does anyone know anything about them? Google has turned up nothing for me.

Maybe, but there’s no definitive link there, and no background.

It definitely wouldn't be that one. I have been to the collection (which is quite extraordinary) at Chateau Savigny. It is situated just North of Beaune in Burgundy and there are definitely no ski stations there.

The French navy flew F8s, maybe this was a mothballed US one used for spares ?

If you click through on that site, you can message the photographer who may be able to assist?

I’ll leave that to the guy in the other forum smile

He has just posted:

“ Thanks!
It’s actually Gréolières-les-Neiges.
I think someone buys old aeroplane (parts) and makes sculpture/furniture from them.
With what success I don’t know, but seemingly some of the neighbours don’t approve, and there appears to be a desist order out against him from the council (although dated 2019, so not enforced with any urgency). I still don’t know quite how the planes got there, but it does explain why. Sort-of anyway.”

The collection at Chateau Savigny is the largest, private collection of fighter jets in the World. It really is worth seeing.

What can we see there? I’m thinking Meteors, a Lightning, Mirages, F-4s, Mig15, Mig17, Su-7, Harriers, maybe an F-104?

Definitely a Starfighter in there

Looks like some Sabres, and is it Shooting Stars ?

Is it a Mig-23 on the right end ?, looks swing wing to me at any rate.

This is a good article, because many people don't know about the car collection.

It’s just a shame that, as with almost every other outdoors collection they’re slowly rotting and corroding. The owner will pass away, and the scrap dealers will take the lot.
