I'm wondering if they hit something?
Various reports state that seawater came in through an exhaust port, causing electrical failures and loss of propulsion.Thing's got a lot of hardware on deck, I wouldn't be surprised if it has had equipment added and lacked much spare stability; once there's a little flooding it goes bad quickly.

Something gone badly wrong there, for water to get onboard in the first place and to not close down and control it. Yes it was a big storm but that should not be an issue for a naval vessel. Captain if he survived will be subject to severe investigation.
The sea state in the video footage is not what I'd call storm conditions and certainly should be within that vessel's capabilities. Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
