Anglian Warbirds Harvard experience
Discussion
Has anyone here ever done one of the Harvard experience flights from the above (They fly from Earls Colne)?
I'm looking at spending a reasonable chuck on their White Cliffs flight (£995 plus an options £75 extra for some aerobatics as well) and want to know what they are like or if I'll potentially get better value for money elsewhere.
This one is min 75 minutes flight time.
I like the idea of the emotive white cliffs fly over but want to ensure it's more than just a straight flight there and then back.

It depends how much you're willing to spend.
Piston warbird experiences range from relatively cheap up to mega expensive depending on the plane and flight experience package. However whichever one you choose, in most cases they will be doing their best to keep engine revs and aerobatics to a minimum to prolong the service intervals/life hours.
I looked into it a lot this time last year as the family had offered to buy me one for my 30th.
I eventually lucked out by getting in touch with the Vampire Preservation Group who are (or were... not sure now given the closure threat) based at Coventry. A 30 minute flight with plenty of "stick time" and as much aerobatics as I could stomach (different lifing for jet warbirds means there's no reason not to exploit the performance envelope on every flight!) cost in the region of £3k which included the 700(!) litres of fuel used on the trip. For slightly more money I could have had an hour's flight up to the lake district and back or had chase plane go up for take in-flight photos.
For a totally unique experience I really can't recommend it enough, and pilot/owner Mark is a 10/10 top bloke
