Had a great tour around the Prince of Wales yesterday courtesy of the Commander.

I served on the old Ark Royal, Invincible and Illustrious so was interested in the sheer scale of the ship.

The banter had started already with him referring to the QE as 'The Prototype' and 'Ugly Sister'..

Good photos. Nice to see some of the equipment we supply out on the deck there.

What with an F35 taking off from the QE yesterday, and now this, it's like we have some armed forces again.

Fantastic pictures.

(Also, how long before we get a 'thank you for your service post?).

The investment in kit since we went into Afghanistan and Iraq has been pretty significant, but new troop transports and reccy vehicles arnt as impressive on the world stage as carriers and jets.

Could be worse, too, Belgium's vehicles can't be driven by anyone above 5ft 7! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-50864567

Nice pictures, thanks.

Good photos.

Coincidentally, I was on there for a meeting yesterday. Despite having been on both ships on many occasions before I still managed to get lost on a number of occasions.

He was. A kind of cross between Brad Pitt and Daniel Craig...…. He was also very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and an all round good egg.

Currently at anchor off the Isle of Wight with a technical fault, said to be a propeller shaft. Not going to the USA right now.

Propeller shafts are not new technology. Why can't they make one that works?

Making one work doesn’t seem to be the problem, two however…
