Sadly passed away last night.

Always enjoyed seeing him interviewed, another one of the few gone.

Sad to hear. I have both of his books -

"Gun Button to Fire"

"The Silver Spitfire".

A nice article in the Telegraph from 2015 https://www.telegraph.co.uk/history/world-war-two/...

Unfortunately there can't be that many of "the few" left.

I had the pleasure of meeting him at Duxford a few years back at a BOB airshow.

Loved hearing his accounts first hand and being able to speak to someone who was actually had his life on the line in this part of history.

He was a very humble man and kept saying very clearly that it was the ones that died who are the heroes, not him.

RIP Tom, you did us proud!!! bow
