He addresses this in one of the videos, I think.
His point was that this is to be expected of wooden boats - the actual bits of tree you are currently using are not so important, the total entity has a soul that endures reframing, replanking and so on.

I've been watching for a while and it's great stuff.

I think from memory he also said that if the repairs had been carried out bit-by-bit over the years, no-one would question it. The fact she was neglected and it all needs putting right in one go shouldn't matter. I think it also gives him a very good opportunity to make any major changes which are needed, such as correcting the sub-optimal repair after she ran aground back in the 60s.

Very perceptive of wooden boat ownership.

Buy bronze fastened teak on oak with a lead keel in good order. Maintain it like your life depends on it and its no harder than a grp boat.

Buy a soggy pile of iron fastened larch and you'll be crying in your beer.

I'm up for watching this but I can't stand her voice... It's like nails on a chalkboard with that vocal fry.
