That is fascinating. I cannot find what happened to the California / Pacific Clipper... surely she ended up in a museum rather than be disassembled?

No Boeing 314s were preserved. There were very few ever built (only 12) and after World War 2 the era of the large passenger carrying flying boat was really over.

The nearest you will get to seeing a 314 is this full sized mock up which is on display at the Flying Boat Museum at Foynes on the River Shannon.

Been there a few times. Would recommend a visit if you're in the area. Also a pretty good airshow in Foynes by Irish standards.
