It's sadly led to the loss of life of some of the crew.
There's been a lot of speculation about what has caused it at work, the "theory" being misdeclared or undeclared haz. I admit to knowing very little about Ships, but this must be a horrific thing for a seaman to have to face but this is not an isolated incident on a Maersk.

When I worked on the cross channel ferries back in the 90s, we had a car deck fire. Was one of the most exciting and terrifying 40 minutes of my life. Thankfully, the years of training and fire drills kicked into action and everyone worked as a well oiled team getting it under control and eventually extinguished.
2 Cars and 6 tractor trailer units were totally trashed and needed removing by bulldozer.
