Diversions

Watching FB tonight, my local airport (Doncaster) has had some diversions in for Leeds which is Fog Bound. Led me to check the Leeds website... Which had an interesting diversion...

Aberdeen to Leeds flight. Diverted to.... Southampton. That is quite a diversion.

I wonder how many lucky passengers now face getting back to Leeds from Southampton...

It’s not really much of a diversion. The flight goes Aberdeen-Leeds-Southampton normally so it just skipped the middle bit. Vis was 50m at LBA, that’s proper pea soup

Someone I know worked at London City. There was an issue with a flight to Aberdeen, the suggested routing for the passengers was London City to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to London Heathrow, London Heathrow to Aberdeen. Strangely the staff decided just t gets taxis to take the passengers to Heathrow

It is quite a big diversion if you only wanted to go to Leeds....

Indeed but it was where the plane was going anyway so it’s more like a bus skipping a stop.

Anyway surely no one “wants” to go to Leeds or Bradford?
