Jet2 flight circling the wash
Discussion
I thought it was heading to Stansted, then looked like Luton. (In an emergency you'd pick Stansted right?)
Then as you say didn't make it according to Flight Radar... which may not be accurate....
(As an aside who's this that went past it at one point. http://www.flightradar24.com/DASSAULT )

It landed at Luton.
The F on the end of the flight number means that it could be a ferry flight (I think it could well be as: 1. Thomson/Monarch have maintenance bases at Luton, 2. Jet2 never usually fly to/from luton, and 3. the flight number doesn't return anything on google or flightradar24).

No I'm not ATCAs I gaze out of my window and see the odd vapour trail I will click to see where they're going. This time I clicked the wrong plane and noticed the looping.

If an ATC posted 'What's going on here then?' he is either testing us, or is a bit stuck and seekng help from the PH masses (who let's face it can solve everything else!)
Hey do you think crowd sourcing the ATC services would work ? id have go !Don't tell Osbourne......
One interesting thing I have noticed on FlightRadar; If you look at Gatwick, there are plane icons labelled LEADER3, WORKS29 etc. These are actually ground vehicles with beacons. Presumably some form of collision warning system for when they have to cross the active runway etc. Some of the location info is amazingly precise and accurate now, you can actually "see" when aircraft are being pushed back from the gate, and the precise route they take across the apron and taxi-ways.
