No, what I want is a submarine. One of those big black fkers the navy punt around.
Gonna turn the missile silos in to a brewery, convert the periscope in to a chrome pole for entertainment wink then hit the high seas. I'll also offer "dry diving" for those who want to experience life under water but can't swim.
It'll be ace. I'll sell off the nuclear stuff to Arabistan turrists to cover my costs, and berth it in Cowes where I'll take it by road first.
Anyone?

No chance of getting one of those. All of the old big subs from the UK are tied up at Rosyth. I think its because they have to keep them on show for some cold war type agreement.

There are still a few rusty old Oberon-class boats lying around. Well, one or two, anyway.

fk that, buy an aircraft carrier. What a lair that would be.

Anchor it permanently somewhere that won't attract unnecessary interference or regulation. Wind power, solar power, etc. Plenty of space to land a helicopter, and plenty more space to keep it in.

No problem. I can run stag night cruises to Eastern Europe, and while the stag party is out on the lash the Ruskies can come round for tea. Sorted.

Good plan I'm fairly sure the Russians have got some that need light refurb to the running gear. I'm sure there shouldn't be too many issues provided you wear appropriate ppe at all times

You're doing it wrong.

You need to stick some wings on it & fly it into space.

There was a diesel boat on one of the government disposal sites a couple of years back, I doubt they come up for sale very often. You could try emulating the Columbians and building your own.

..and even if someone with 25 years experience of moving large chunks of northern Eurasia to the Mediterranean coast appears on the thread and tells you that you'd be m...m...maaaaaad to try it, you won't believe them.

No chance, I once built a tree house so I am well qualified for this.

I don't believe that he won't believe them. I built a sand castle once but then the tide came in.

You're being ridiculous, there isn't even an IVA category for submarines.

If you can find an early Oberon class submarine not only will it be MOT and RFL exempt but it will also have two V16 diesels.
