I'm not sure if this was intentional, but if you look at Biggin Hill on satellite view, it's clearly airshow day, and you can see the Reds on the runway.

As you were.

27th June 2010.

Same image is on Google Earth which gives the image dates.

You can also see all 10 lined up on the runway on the image for Blackpool Airport.

Not their normal parking location so presumably lined up for the image.

I would have thought no one would know when Google is going to take your photo?

Ah ha! I was looking for the ninth one, but decided it must have been an eight-ship display.

Google use images from various sources. The Ordnance Survey flying unit were based at Blackpool Airport till last year, so I wonder if they had anything to do with it. The Arrows often use Blackpool as a base when they are up North.

Quite sad seeing the Harrier still displaying as well. I'll really miss that aircraft!

There are two 'spare' Reds on that image. The current Hawk outside the large hanger just ahead/port side of the VC10, and there are two Gnats in a row of three aircraft if you follow down directly in line with the wing of the Transall. One of them appears to be painted in the period Red Arrows scheme. You can clearly see 'Miss Demeanour' there too, bottom right of the airfield, just behind the row of RAF Tornados/Typhoons.

The pictures must overlap timewise as I found another flying out to the north so with yours and 8 on the runway we have one too many.

Also judging by the spacing on the runway I think they must have been landing.
