Am I going insane or did I see it coming in to land there today? It was only close over where I was standing and I would bet my life it was what I saw and heard twin Merlins.
Has the recently restored US one been sold over here?
There is an absolutely atrocious looking 75% scale 'replica' around, according to a magazine article I read recently. No way it would have Merlins though.Has the recently restored US one been sold over here?

No it hasn't and won't be as it wouldn't get a UK permit to fly.Has the recently restored US one been sold over here?
So, no it wasn't a Mosquito you saw.

Lots and lots of activity today! I've been re-roofing my man cave, and have a grandstand seat of anything that flies south from Sywell ;-)
(including what looked to be about the size of a DC-3, but biplane wing config? Bit too far away to ID it unfortunately)
Antonov AN-2?(including what looked to be about the size of a DC-3, but biplane wing config? Bit too far away to ID it unfortunately)

This has been debated ad nauseam on various forums. The general consensus is that while nobody has the definitive answer as no application has been tested yet, it could be possible at great expense. Never say never...So, no it wasn't a Mosquito you saw.
