About 18 years ago I went to a show at Duxford that had a S/African airways 747 do a display. Believe me when I say it outshone pretty much everything else there. Seeing an aircraft of that size on full slow bank a few hundred feet away and the sheer grace of it in the air was aweinspiring. Gives you so much more confidence in what they can do...

It was a tricky call, 747 and Sea King on the Saturday, or the full BBMF, Red Arrows and Patrouille de France (never seen them) on the Sunday. Have to admit the Reds and the Patrouille on the same way was the clincher

Its £24.75 in advance or £27.50 on the day for adults. For a full days entertainment of the museum and a great flying lineup to boot, I'd say that was great value.

That was good yesterday, but Bloody heck that got a little wet, Typhoon followed by a Monsoon!

The Patrouille were superb, Reds much better, but is nice to see other countries air display teams. The Royal Dutch B-25 was a delight, as were the Norwegian Vampires. Duxford did what it does best, arrange and put on an excellent show

It was my first Duxford show since 2001! And my daughters first airshow

Fortunately was sitting in my car next to the US hangar when it rained so we stayed nice and dry But I think the highlight was when I took my daughter on a pleasure flight on the Rapide, which she enjoyed, it was her first ever flight

I went on the Saturday and wholst there was no rain I was disappointed that the leader of the Patroullie De France (excuse the spelling) fell ill and so unfortunately couldn't fly. The BB<MF flight consisted of a lone Spit and again due to illness the twin seat Vampire also couldn't fly - all fully understandable but still a big shame.

The B25 was amazing, never seen one fly before and it was awesome, so manoeuvrable for a large (medium) bomber. The 747 though - Wow - a stunning low fly past with wheels down, before a 300 knot return leg. It was part of a scheduled flight from Stansted to Frankfurt so not a proper display but to see it so low was fantastic. Couldn't believe how quiet it was either (747F IIRC), just one of it's 4 engines had more power than all 8 on a B52 and you could barely hear it when it came past

The dogfight between the Hurricane and Buschon (playing part of an ME109) was awesome and Mark Jeffries in his Extra - wow!!! Finally an amazing display by the Eurofighter Typhoon.....

A good show but not one of the best I've seen at Duxford.

Either way. I wish I could have gone. Duxford sees some pretty stunning airshows, so I'm sure even though it wasn't one of their best it would still have been a great day. Duxford can never really be a bad day out IMO, it's just too nice a place to be.

I was there on Saturday, too. B25 was the highlight, but I somehow found the sight of the six Spitfire display dull! PdF and F86 were annoying no-shows.

Waited all for the Typhoon, having not seen a modern fighter display, and was hoping that the Typhoon would be a level above the Russki stuff I'd seen flown at Dubai about 16yrs ago. It wasn't. Seems a lot of noise (good), but no real spectacle. Miss Demeanour put on a better show at Rendlesham a couple of years ago.

It was OK, but the showmanship was not as good as I'd hoped.

Agree about the Spitfire display - a constant figure of 8 by 6 Spits following each other - very dull. Typhoon for me was good but it's been ages since I've been to a show featuring a modern fast jet, last couple of years have mostly been spent at Shuttleworth - about as far removed from fast jets as you can get
