I'm guessing it's a fixed refuelling probe that's have the valve/internal pipework removed. What's it's from = no idea, but possibly a Victor, Vulcan, VC-10 or Nimrod.

I need to take a pic when I'm home and you can't have it for a fiver but I have the UHF or VHF aerial from the F4 Phantom that was the gate guard in the Falklands in my man cave.

Looks a bit thin to be a refuelling probe.
Pitot probe off something, just can't quite place it.

It's also tapered, where as most fixed refuelling probes (like on the Victor in the pic) are straight.

Point of interest: The refueling probes fitted to the Nimrod and the C130K were originally Vulcan probes.

You mean the HF antenna? I thought that it might be that or the wing HF antenna from a 747 100/200/300 but it doesn't quite look right. Perhaps some of what we see isn't exposed on the aircraft.

It looked like a probe from a Gnat's nose but if it's 12 ft it's too short.

The more I look at it, the more I think it's this, not a refuelling probe. Doesn't look substantial enough.

How does he account for the taper in the OP's item, and the parrallel sides of the one on the Victor?

To be fair he did say he spent more time looking at the arse of them than the front!

(There may have been different versions, who knows?)
