That was discussed on pprune a couple of years ago and the pilot's actions came in for a fair amount of criticism, IIRC. However, it does show how clever helicopters are (even an R22 ).

Thanks, yes I am sure the risk was quite questionable, due to the surrounding environment, but then most of the guys I know in the US, whether fixed wing or rotary seem to have the same casual approach!

Not saying thats good or bad in a pilot, but I enjoyed what he did!!
