Possibly.

A BBMF Spitfire is due to make a flypast at the War on the Line event on the Watercress Line this afternoon, and that's not a million miles away from Gosport.

The BBMF Spitfire flew over Ashford Kent, about 1600 this afternoon.

I must remember to take my camera into work, we got 'buzzed' by one of their PRXIX's last year. The pilot obviously took 'How low can you go' as a challenge not a lyric.

Lanc/Spit/Hurri were display at Folkstone yesterday, and at Cosford and Welshpool today. So, with a solo Hurricane display at War on the Line yesterday and Spit today, I would think it likely that the Lanc flew up to Cosford alone yesterday and todays displays up there were done with the other Hurricane and another Spit, leaving the two from Folkstone yesterday down here to do the War on the Line stuff. Spit probably overnighted and refuelled back at Manston before heading back to QCY late afternoon.

Almost right.... laugh

Just looked up the BBMF schedules and the Spit over Gosport this morning was a BBMF one, but the one over Asford this afternoon wasn't a BBMF one.

It certainly was a single spitfire out of Southampton doing a short display overhead "Gosport Cemetery". I was working him at the time.
