Just a quick thread to say what good service I've had from gill clothing lately. Had a set of keelboat waterproof trousers and jacket the last 4 years, had fairly heavy use but in good nick. Really like them for the summer coastal rib and yacht stuff I do as lightweight.
The zip went on the jacket a few months ago, contacted gill to see if it could be repaired, they did it free of charge. Then a few weeks back the zip went on the trousers, contacted again and same outcome. Excellent customer service, and any future wet weather gear will be bought from them. Just felt I should share as I feel good customer service should be applauded.

Gill stuff is very good at the moment. Musto used to be the best, but since production moved from the UK to China, the quality has plummeted.
Musto seem to not give a monkeys about problems either judging by their reaction when things have failed, whereas Gill have been superb on the rare occasion I've had an issue with their kit.

Musto offshore gear is fine, it's their dinghy stuff and lighter weight gear I've found troublesome recently.
Poor stitching, zips mis aligned and simply failing and simply less durable materials than I'm used to.
5 years ago I'd have scoffed at the idea of Musto kit not being the best. The sad fact is that it's second rate now in comparison and Gill kit is much, much better than I ever remember it being. It used to be a bit budget, but I now find it last longer and is designed better in the first place. Quite a change around.
