Airbus's not built strong enough?

I've been reading through this article by a commercial aircraft engineer and his argument that proposes the vertical stabilisers on Airbus's aircraft are not strong enough.

He claims to be a commercial aircraft engineer, but then he has posted anonymously so who knows if he is? There is not much in that that makes me think so - more likely someone who has read up a bit about how aircraft work and jumped to all sorts of conclusions.

And very disingenuous, using the photo of the fin from Air France 447 in the headline - a crash which had nothing to do with the vertical stabiliser failing.

ETA: Okay, I've actually read it now. What garbage!

The first illustration of his article about Airbus's vertical stablilisers not being strong enough cites an incident in which a Boeing manufactured plane lost its vertical stabiliser. He also cites AF447 which, as the CVR transcript clearly illustrates, was not behaving like an aircraft that had lost its vertical stabiliser during its final descent. They're just two of holes in his argument. I could go on... but I wont'.

So his argument is fairly poor then it seems...

I know Boeing has a fairly extensive smear campaign launched against Airbus, and that it's fan boy's can be somewhat fanciful and vocal.

Is the consensus that this would be another example then?
