Smooth Operator yacht
Discussion
Afternoon everyone. So, I'm a regular visitor to Majorca, Pto Alcudia specifically, and over the years I've wandered many a time to the end of the marina to check out "the big 'uns". Nearly every time I've done the walk, there's a really nice silver Sunseeker called Smooth Operator. I left Majorca 3 days ago and she was moored there. I know a chap over there who works in the boat yard and he said it's owned by a German, and it's one of a handful the owner has dotted round the World.
I've just googled her, and there's a rumour that she's actually owned by Michael Schumacher?
Anyone know anything about her?
Simon.

She's definately not Schumacher's. Some obnoxious bloke from Hamburg owns her. He also has an Eligance in Croatia.
The hoteliers tell the "chissits" it's Schumacher's to get them out of the hotels when the weather's too shyte to go to the beach, so they all go for a walk around Alcudiamar to see "his" boat.
She had new grey plastic decks last year, and surprise surprise, they have to come up again, as no one can walk on the decks with the heat !
I often wonder how some of these blokes get so filthy rich, when they don't have any common sense

Thanks for clearing ownership up, had a feeling if it really was Schumacher's, my mate out there would be aware of that. Not the best looking thing in the World is it? And interior decor apparantly leaves a lot to be desired. The hoteliers tell the "chissits" it's Schumacher's to get them out of the hotels when the weather's too shyte to go to the beach, so they all go for a walk around Alcudiamar to see "his" boat.

Nothing new. Baglietti / Baglietto (failing memory) were doing just this 30 - 40 years ago for that plastic battleship look.
We had one of those on the dock in Antigua with an Austrian flag. It was bigger than most of the Islands patrol boats and got boarded and searched almost weekly. Tit.
It was built for a German chap in the Hotel business called Ladermaker (Spell). What was the bridge was converted in to a 'Owners Suite' with a new Fly Bridge built on top and the aft deck strengthened to take a helicopter. A pilot landed on it once and said he would NEVER do that again....
