E-3 and Typhoon flyover

I live in Ealing, close to Heathrow flightpaths and also to RAF Northolt, so am used to low-flying air traffic both civilian and military. But an almighty trumpeting roar from outside had me dashing to the window just in time to see an E-3 Sentry flanked by two Typhoons fly over at low altitude. I assume this was something to do with the Olympic/Paralympic parade in central London?

Pretty epic anyway!

Helicopter 4 ships just over flew Sandhurst, part of the same flypast perhaps?

No, it was actually an old Olympic Airlines 707 taking the stadium flame cauldron back home to Greece ready for the next Games.

I was also lucky enough to see this from my office window in Chelsea - at first I thought it was a passenger plane being escorted by two typhoons but then I saw the AWAC thing on the back. Then, thirty seconds later when the arrows came past I realised it was the parade...

We were driving near the scottish border yesterday morning when a typhoon Flew Over us very low.
