Think I may have solved it as it looks like she is on a jubilee tour of the locations that played a key role in its development and hoping to raise a bit of cash too.I really hope it does

What an absolute farce the traffic was, we were averaging < 1mph with 10 miles to go. We gave up just before Ormskirk and we weren't the only ones to turn around.

It was very busy and I know of friends that had come from Preston but turned around and headed back due to traffic.

Me and my gf set off from Wigan at 10:40 and got a horrorcall from my mate about the traffic (he'd been virtually stopped for an hour and reckoned an hour to go, from his mum and dad's near Burscough). We parked in the town centre at 11:35 and walked, getting home was similarly easy. We didn't take the most direct route but certainly the best route! Seems we were very lucky.

My mate saw that over Wigan, Spitfire.

ETA: Not night though as we were both in work.

The Vulcan flew over Leicester Airport today but can't remember what time. It's quite something, truly spectacular and deafening!

I saw this, must have been about 3pm? It circled a few times, I parked the car up in Sapcote and it flew almost directly overhead. Amazing!!!

Did anybody hear why they did the heart with no arrow this time? Was it just down to the missing pilots or a tribute?

The Vulcan did a few displays and flypasts yesterday, it did Cosby (Display), Carfest (Display?) at Chomondley, Woodford (Flypast), Liverpool (Flypast), Southport (Display), Blackpool (Flypast), Elvington (Display?) and back to Robin Hood.

I wanted to go to Southport to see it, but by the sounds of it, it was better that I was working. However, if I'd known prior to the event, I would have done the 15 minute race from work to Woodford! :-(

Really must get to see it next year!
