Fancy a Trip to Sir William McAlpine's Garden Railway?
Discussion
I've put a post in the Thames Valley forum about the Fawley Father's Day Fete which was postponed from earlier in the year due to the weather. It takes place in Sir William McAlpine's Fawley residence where he has a full size steam loco and a large indoor museum collection. If anyone has any old military vehicles, classics, vintage or 'supercars' they want to bring a long as well as part of the attraction, please see my other thread. Even if you don't want to 'exhibit' your car on the day, it's one of the few chances to get access to Sir Willam's 'train set' and take a ride up the steepest gradient in the UK, 1 in 13.
Some more info about his train here.
