My technical knowledge of most of these goes as far as making 'ooooooh' 'aaaaaaaaah' and 'BOOM' noises; which ones do we disagree with and what should replace them?

Not made in the UK though. It's a good piece of kit but it's made in the US.

Type 45 looks like it can do the job though, very impressive.

Apache? F35?

Apache is British assembled and with Rolls-Royce engines.

F-35's partly manufactured in Britain.

The UK apache has quite a few home grown bits and bobs developed into so at worst its more of a hybrid craft with american origins.

For services rendered though I would replace the apache with the lynx.

Like a lot of modern manufacturing, pinning a single nationality on a piece of military kit is a bit difficult as many items are international co-operative projects.

The last truly all British military aircraft that fits into this thread - probably the English Electric Lightning or Blackburn Buccaneer.

I imagine it is because the Harrier was wholly a British design. The last versions were still based on the same basic design, but with significant upgrades.

To be honest the US and other nations are only really envious of us for one thing - our soldiers/sailors/airmen. They just get on with the job and do it very well no matter what. Awesome

Otherwise -
The Harrier - we sold the rights to the US (another triumph...)
105mm Light Gun - design classic - goes anywhere, gets the Infantry out trouble and is British through and through.
AS90 - The Nasty - being on the wrong end of three 96lb HE shells in under 10 seconds is pretty terminal.
Our Counter Improvised Explosive Device technology - the US are still playing catch-up despite throwing billions at it.
Land Rovers - Humvees are not a patch on the Wolf

TSR2 (if it hadn't been killed off by the politicians...)
Vickers machine gun - water cooled, several individual guns fired millions of rounds during WW1
