Hi all

Quick question. I'm getting a little inflatable Intex boat and electric trolling motor to keep in the beach hut here for some fun in the summer.

I have an old bog standard halford car battery charger in the garage and was wondering if that would work on the deep cycle marine battery that i'll need for the electric motor?

Thanks

wetny

You might also find buying your leisure battery (deep cycle) from a caravan dealer is cheaper than from a Chandler!
These little motors are very popular for trout fishing on waters (eg Thornton Reservoir, Leicestershire) where the hire boats are oar powered so you bring your own motor & battery & all the batteries I've seen have been from the local caravan dealers.

I use a solar panel to trickle charge mine and run a bilge pump. That reminds me, been a bit cloudy lately so I need to go and make sure it hasn't sunk.
