Do we have a thread yet? Couple of months to go smile

Anyone know if the Vulcan will be flying on the Friday or would it just be the Sat/Sun?

The Vulcan has been at every Farnborough since it was restored to flying status so, if serviceable, it will be flying on the public dyas (Saturday, Sunday).

I seem to recall in the last VTST email that they hope to have the provisional list of Vulcan appearances on their website on Friday.

Basically I'm trying to figure out if Friday or Sunday would be the better day to go on, apparently Friday is a Jubilee day and the trade halls are still open but I can't see if all the displays AND the vulcan will be flying....

I shall be doing my usual trick of regularly wandering into the office car park to watch the practice displays instead of working.

B787 will belong to Qatar. There was a rumour that it was to depart after the show to LHR where it would perform the inaugural service, but I have just read it will return to Boeing as there is still some work to be done before handover.

Shame as I'm in on the Wednesday. But I only live 3 miles from the airfield so
will find a spot to watch the public displays.

Is it possible to get in on trade days if you work in the aviation industry and if so how would i go about it? I have complimentary weekend tickets through my company but as the exhibition halls will be closed at the weekends i'd like to go in on a week day if possible.

Cheers

The exhibition halls are usually open all through the show, including on the public days.

They are not usually manned on Sundays so if you want to chat with somebody about re-entry heat shielding or laser range finding, Saturday is better.

I would have a look on the Fanborough website and see if there is a phone number.
If you find that you have a couple of tickets you don't need on the weekend... I could always use them for you...
