I didn't have enough time to have a look around, but there was a Spitfire, Hurricane and a Focke Wulf(I believe) sat in the centre of Coventry.

Not exactly a history/ aircraft boff, but were they genuine, didn't get a chance to see?

The German one is a Bf 109 ('E' variant I believe, making it BoB vintage).


But they all look like giant Airfix models!

It's an E, as you say (guess who forgot to put that in)getmecoat Looks like the kids enjoyed themselves though

That's them, I thought they might have been the replicas, but it's quite good to actually get to see the size of them.

There are quite a few full sized replicas of WW2 figher aircraft on display around the UK. Some of them are on permanent display - like the Spit and Hurricane in the Hendon Museum - and some are transportable for temporary display..
