I like it.
Nice looking thing innit?
I once did 100mph in a 21ft skater with a 225 Mercury outboard on it. I was passenger with my old Boss Jack Setton.
I'd just fitted some special steering system on it for him, and he wanted to test it.
He had me holding the GPS and shouting out the numbers.
We where in Turkey, and it was early morning and millpond smooth.
The crew said they couldn't see the boat, just a big rooster tail in the distance.
I'm not ashamed to admit I was crappimg myself!
100 mph on water is bloody fast!

I once did very very close to 100mph in a 21ft Phantom with a pair of 250 Mercury outboard on it. I was passenger behind on a ski.
There was nothing special about the steering system.
We never had GPS in those days and used to use a measured mile.
We were in UK, and sometimes it was early morning and millpond smooth and others it wasn't.
The crew said they couldn't see me, just a big rooster tail in between us.
I'm not ashamed to admit I was crappimg myself a little bit but not as much as when racing in Penzance at speeds averaging less than 40 knots!

100 mph on flat water is bloody fast!
40 knots in a proper bit of water puts hairs on the chest.

90 kts is 103mph.
doing over 100mph in that little bit of marine plywood would scare the crap outa me!!
doesn't even appear to have any harness, although i assume it must have to keep the driver in there!
Absolutely not. Would you want to be stuck in an open boat upside down with a harness on? doing over 100mph in that little bit of marine plywood would scare the crap outa me!!

Did 75mph on a Seadoo RTX demo a few weekends ago, that was extremely fast and so i only held it for a few seconds.
Last weekend two guys took the same ski's out and one hit a wave around that speed, was thrown off and in a bad way (I was told had internal injuries and couldn't feel his legs).
Required an airlift rescue.
Chap on second ski, doing similar speed had his young son holding on the back too!
