Saw my first AWACS on the landing approach to BHX this morning.

Sadly I couldn't take a pic as I was administering a "dab of oppo" around Spitfire Island at the time...

Nice, I remember US ones doing circuits and bumps into Alconbury many years ago!

My bloody batteries are flat in the digital

I loved the throaty gnarlly engine noise, I was working inside the garage but the noise brought me out to look for.. whatever
