This being the aviation section of PH I thought I'd share with you all, my new blog:

http://indopilot.blogspot.com/

I'm going to use it to write about life and flying out here in the jungles of Indonesia, as well as share photos and stories of things which I hope will be of interest to you all. I'm pretty new to this blogging thing, so bear with me as I discover what works and what doesn't article wise.

Any comments, questions, suggestions are all more than welcome smile

My only suggestion would be to get some of the Go-Pro footage that you have a screen grab of up!

Looks like a fun job mate.

Oh I have hours of footage but my internet connection is via a tethered Android phone with a 2G signal at best. I'll upload some when I get to civilisation next biggrin

Really interesting watching and fantastic reading, Moose.
Will they let you have a go on the fast machine? I haven't seen them here since that one visited a few years ago.
The ELT stuff struck a chord as a lot we have going off end up coming from the local rubbish tips where people have thrown them out and not deactivated them properly.
I wondered how you ended up in Borneo. I was also from Somerset initially but have been assimilated into a Down Under person!
We speak to Jakarta ATC and Jakarta Radio everyday.

hehe It's not far off that to be honest (but without the shooting parts).

I'm sure they would if I asked but it's not something that appeals to me to be honest. I'm not a fan of multi-crew and I loathe flying VIPs around; so much waiting around! I really don't know what I'll do after this to be honest. It really is the ultimate in terms of proper flying I reckon biggrin

Very cool! cool

Seeing that pilot's survey screen (Trackair?) brings back memories of 6 hr flights and pissing in empty water bottles! Just so you know, the maximum bank of 20 degrees is bks - it works perfectly well at 60! wink

I'm disappointed, this wasn't the kind of Bush flying blog I thought it was
