Does anyone on here own a Yam GP1300r SKI?

I have one.
This is the best JetSki you can buy for under £5k, very reliable, exremely fast with incredible handling. Fuel bill depends on how you ride it, but as a comparison my friend's 25ft Boston Whaler with a 4-Stroke 200Hp Outboard uses less fuel than the GP, I can go through 50 Litres in three hours of running, the new 4-Stoke Ski's are far more fuel efficient.
However I must say that if the fuel comsumption is really a BIG CONCERN then this sport isn't really for you, best off taking up roller skating or surfing!
You won't be happy towing rings and wakeboarding off a jet ski.
For one thing, a jet doesn't like to turn when towing, unless the tow pole is in front of the jet. Which obviously isn't possible on a ski.
A 1300 Yam weighs 425 kilo's full of fuel, so you have to tow and luanch it as a boat anyway.
As I said before, you'd be better selling your two stroke outboard, and putting the money towards a decent 4 stroke outboard.
We have a 50hp Mariner 4 stroke on a tender which uses hardly any fuel at all compared to the ski.

I regularly pulls skiers and inflatable toys and have no problems, however you are correct in that a Jet-Ski does not turn the same as a speedboat when towing however it still turns and this has never bothered me. People much prefer to be towed by me as there is less wake, obviously not true for wakeboarders though as this defeats the point!

Look at a 4-stroke 3 seater Yamaha VX110. Same sort of price, half the fuel cost and still most of the fun. Or FX140/160 same idea with more power.

Not going to be doing much towing while you're airborn are you? Absolute blast BUT they are very thirsty AND only a 2 seater; you need a 3 seater to tow. 2 stroke so needs careful looking after too.

Personaly once you've done a couple of donuts, a figure eight, razzed up and down the beach a few times, and slammed accross some wake/waves, I'm bored with it.
